Famous (fictional) deductionists and how I think they function

Famous deductionists have always existed, we just don't know them. Famous deductionist I'm going to be talking about here are going to be of course Sherlock Holmes and Patrick Jane. Both I adore. We will also going to be talking about mentalists. This is because A friend of mine opened my eyes to my mentalism skills, mostly meaning intuition. We will delve into that later.

Sherlock Holmes

Ah the old detective that started it all for me. He had hundreds of adaptations since his debut in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's first Sherlock Holmes story A study in scarlet. My first meeting with the character on the screen was in 2020. In the middle of the quarantine, and intense boredom, I started watching the show. It truly felt so brilliant. I watched it around 4-5 times and then abandoned it. It was on netflix at the time and it wasn't in hungarian. With my limited english skills at the time I had to watch it with hungarian subtitles. The translation was horrible. A year later I Somehow got an infinitely better skill at english. I was watching and understanding the show with ease. I was still pretty slow at the time, so I still had to keep the subtitles on because Sherlock is quite a quick speaker. If you haven't guessed I'm talking about the 2010 adaptation with Benedict Cumberbatch.

I'm going to go off with the more accurate adaptation, the movie with Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes works just like me, or Bruno Holmes or any deductionist. Sherlock, of course doesn't only have the skill of deduction, but the skill of chemistry and such sciences. He is a true master of disguise. He has been deducing since his late teens, so the natural talent and intelligence and the sheer experience adds up to an unstoppable detective. If you don't cound Irene Adler. Sherlock Holmes is really only focusing on the ceratin details like attire and such.

Patrick Jane

Patrick Jane is HIM. No kidding. He is my role model. I want to be as smart and as good of a deductionist as him. My methods resemble his. It is just scary, how simillar they are. He is  a person who understands people, and that is his biggest strenght. He uses his intuition and his deductive capabilities and attention to detail eually, in harmony.  He is an expert at body language AND details.

I first discovered the show The Mentalist when I was surfing through HBO max and saw it. I read the description and I watched it. I fell in love almost ammiediately. I started watching the show every evening until around 6 AM. This started in the summer and I watched it through until august. I'm currently on my 3rd watch-through. I fell in love with the character and I aspire to be like him.

Happy deducing!

Hi

Hello everyone. It's been a ridiculously long time. I honestly miss this sometimes. It's been over a year since I wrote my first entry. And I really miss it.  I'm (hopefully starting a new blog. It's going to be my personal blog filled with rants and notes about projects. Also I'm gonna write essays around various topics. I'm trying to rid myself of any boredom I might have. For the last time... Happy Deducing!

The comparison and analysis of Sherlock Holmes and Patrick Jane

I've already did an entry on this in the past but it way too shallow. I wasn;t able to relly reflect on the structute of both characters I mentioned. These 2 characters are way different from each other, but have a surprising lot in common. Introducing: Sherlock Holmes Since he appeared out of thin air in the study of scarlet , he has been a pioneer of deduction in pop culture with over 200 actors having portrayed him. When someone asks a normie to name a deductionist They will either ask what deduction is, or say Sherlock Holmes. Holmes is a keen observer of such small details, and a really quick thinker. A lot of videos on youtube on the topic of deduction are titled something like: "How to think like Sherlock Holmes" and not "How to deduce". This is  understandable, because everyone knows Sherlock Holmes, but very few know about deduction except the tax meaning. What I'm trying to say is that Sherlock, the deerhunter hat and the pipe, is deduction in th...
