Guide to body language part 1

I've already mentioned, that I got all the information and knowledge from the book 'The dictionary of body language'. I've been implementing the knowledge, not just into my deductions, but my personal life too. Today I'm going to list to you the most important things to look for on each and every body part. Now, I can't really do that in 1 sitting and mash it into 1 entry. I will do it in the form of a series on both here and  tumblr . I'm going to be cutting the body into thirds and try to make a trilogy. We'll see. But now I'll start with the head. The hair As I stated in my previous body language blogpost here . There are mainly pacifiers that we're looking for. Though read the entry to really get what we're talking about here.  The hair doesn't really have any nerve ending, but can still be quite helpful. Have you ever noticed that when students are writing a test they often toy with or brush through their hair. This is, Ladies and

Mentalism 102

Mentalism. A skill thet requires trained intuition and mastery in body-language and showmanship, attention to detail and a deep knowledge psichology. I'm at the point of being good at the attention to detail part and I just have to remember to. I've been a decently accurate deductionist, with around 60% accuracy with a bit of lee-way on either side. In fact, I've been a deductionist for roughly half a year. My logic and observation skills are pretty solid. I understand psichology because I am A: a human (pretty self-explanatory) and B: not a sociopath (again self-explanatory). My body-language skills I use often in everyday life, so I think I"ve become pretty good at that. I'm currently on the side of (sherlockian) deductionist, but I want to adventure into the more "The Mentalist" side of things. It is just a particular skill that I want to get good at. Has some downsides, like with not fucusing on the more sherlockian side of things that much. I can st

Huge hiccup

I've been a little cold with deduction in the last few days. I want to get back into it. The only thing is, that I have so little time. I don't meet any new people. And people who I already know are too easy or already done. I do have some ides for the blog, that most of need some recent field experience to do. I bought a new notebook and now I'm going to start doing deductions and being cold to people. Except, of course the people I love.  Happy deducing!

Essay on Patrick Jane (spoilers)

Introduction. Patrick Jane is the main protagonist in the 2000's American TV show "The Mentalist" portrayed by Simon Baker. Patrick Jane is the main   protagonist on the show, and with a surprisingly the least morals  on the team of protagonists. We'll get to these later. Patrick Jane works in the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), but later works for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Both as a consultant. Before that, he was a professional mentalist that faked psychic powers to get money out of people. Powers and abilities. Patrick Jane possesses a powerful mental prowess. He is a master of tactics and people, especially knowing them. His observational skills are absolutely exceptional. I myself, am a deductionist/mentalist, so I know about how this works. His observational skills are at the level of the legendary deductionist Sherlock Holmes. I'd even bother to say that Patrick Jane was a better Sherlock Holmes than the Benedict Cumberbatch inc

Stuff about deduction

The thing about deduction is, that when you're observing, you are in a state of mind that is unbelievably awake. Being in this doesn't only make you stop blinking, but for me I have a slingt tingling in the back of my mind and bouncy eyes. I think this stimulus in the brain is interesting. Because, when we think about it it's kind of the same thing as dopamine. you look at something you like and your brain releases happyness hormones called dopamine. It's also the very thing that gets you hooked on pornography, tiktok etc. Though I think when you've done a fine deduction on the perfect person, it releases dopamine too. Especially when you've done deduction through some time. Deducing the right person is very important to get this stimulation. I try to look for people that I don't know. Now, when you're bored and you don't have any new people around you that you don't know, it's a good thing to still deduce people you know. Because you alre

*clears throat*

Sorry I haven't been posting, my mental health is at a (hopefully temporary) low. I've grown in this 6 months of being a deductionist. Grown a lot. At th start I really thought I had no actual intellect. I was wrong. I'm way better at observation and that kind of stuff. My environment still hasn't accepted my newfound intellect. That is why I'm a tad depressed. Anyway, this isn't a blog about my gradually worsening mental health, but a blog about deductions. Footsteps Footsteps are inevitably the most blandly used source of information used in various (shallow) detective media. It is often used for knowing where a bloke was heading, or what they were going. The actual things that you can deduce from a footstep is not that much, but very useful to a detective. You can determine the person's height, weight and if they were carrying something, for example: a dead body.  I actually got this idea because it was snowing in my town for about a week, and footsteps

Intro to mentalism (mentalism 101)

Mentalism is a very close thing to deduction, but with a twist of showmanship. I've explained some aspects of it, but today I will give you a bigger picture. This mentalism "project" is going to be a series. A series of me explaining this particular form of showmanship. My dear friend  the science of deduction blogpost . So, mentalism is very close to deduction, but how close? It is a "style" of deduction that is using your intuition to get the info you're looking for. It also requires a skill to understanding psychology and a large knowledge in body language. It also requires cold reading skills and many more skills to be able to at least appear mentally intelligent. This is also highly connected with being a fake spiritualist and pretending to talk to the dead. In my case I'll just try and be like Patrick Jane. These are going to be shorter entries, both on tumblr and here, so prepare. Happy deducing!
